Powder coating the undercarriage
Hey I have a 96 9c1 that was used in a port for security use. Since always being right by the ocean the the whole undercarriage is somewhat rusted. The undercarriage is not rusted through and can be sanded off. I was wondering what it would cost to paint or powdercoat the whole underneath of my caprice.

i got the same thing on my car, i havent touched it. i dont think its worth springing leaks or breaking something else under there. especially if there isnt any rot.

You know that powdercoating means baking parts inside the oven. You would need to separate the body from the frame.
Painting is pretty simple. Just remove all the excess rust with a wirebrush or something similar and put several coats of POR (paint over rust).
